Department of Corrections (DOC) in Everett, WA, seeks two non-permanent Corrections and Custody Officer 2 (CO2) roles in the Transportation Unit. Positions run 12 months, Monday–Friday 7:00 am–3:00 pm, with scheduling per unit needs, located in Everett.
Requirements include at least one year as a DOC Corrections and Custody Officer, a valid driver’s license, firearms qualifications and use-of-force certifications, respirator requirements, and the ability to de‑escalate and communicate
The Department of Corrections (DOC) has two, non-permanent, full time Corrections and Custody Officer 2 (CO2) - Transport openings available in the Transportation Unit. These positions are located in Everett, WA. These openings are only available to current DOC employees. These positions are expected to last 12 months, The work schedule for these positions is Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:00 pm. Work hours are determined by unit needs and are at the discretion of the unit supervisor. This position contributes to the Department of Corrections (DOC) mission to improve public safety by securely, safely, and humanely transporting incarcerated and/or supervised male and female individuals to and from prison facilities, work release facilities, field offices, jails, and other secure holding facilities (including out-of-state locations) as directed by the Department and/or other criminal justice partners.
Conduct transports, monitor individuals' behavior, and assist in controlling and directing individuals (up to and including use of appropriate force options) during transportation activities.
Apply appropriate, constructive, and professional authority.
