Job summary

State of Washington is seeking a Corrections & Custody Officer 2 in Seattle to lead community restitution work crews within the Community Corrections Division. The role includes safety oversight, supervising staff and workers, and operating state vehicles for transporting participants.

Requirements include a WA driver’s license and either one year as a Corrections Officer or a high school diploma/GED with related security experience.

Qualifications

• One year of experience as a Corrections and Custody Officer with the WA State DOC or equivalent.
• Must possess and maintain a valid vehicle operator's license in WA.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, instruct, and monitor individuals ordered to perform community restitution and ensure safety.
• Transport supervised individuals to and from work sites using state vehicles.
• Maintain worker safety, provide safety orientation, and issue equipment and gear.
• Communicate professionally with supervised individuals, staff, stakeholders, and contractors.
• Administrative duties including documentation; perform additional duties as assigned.
