Job summary

Commonwealth of VA Careers' Nursing Assistant position at Deerfield Correctional Center offers full-time work with a pay range of $18.66 to $24.60 per hour. The annual salary stated is $38,807 to $51,174, and a $1,000 sign-on bonus may be available for eligible new hires.

As part of an interdisciplinary team, you will assist inmates with activities of daily living, monitor health needs, document care, and maintain safety in a secure environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Virginia CNA license active; if new graduate, NNAAP schedule required.
• Current BLS required upon hire.
• Knowledge of patient care, infection control, vital signs, and CPR.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Assist inmates with activities of daily living and health needs.
• Observe, document, and communicate interventions and treatments.
• Work weekend and rotating shifts to ensure 24/7 coverage.
