We are seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to provide healthcare support in Chowchilla, CA. The CMA will provide clinical and administrative support in a correctional healthcare setting while working closely with nurses, providers, and other healthcare professionals.
Room patients and prepare them for provider visits and medical evaluations.
Obtain and accurately document vital signs and patient information.
Perform blood draws and phlebotomy.
Collect and prepare specimens for laboratory testing.
Document patient information accurately in Epic.
Assist providers with examinations and medical procedures.
Perform injections and other clinical duties within scope of practice.
Prepare, clean, and stock examination rooms and medical supplies.
Assist with patient scheduling, follow-up, and coordination of care.
Maintain accurate and confidential medical records.
Support efficient patient flow and daily clinic operations.
Communicate and collaborate with providers, nurses, and other healthcare staff.
Follow correctional facility policies, healthcare protocols, and security procedures.
Current Medical Assistant certification or credential.
Recent phlebotomy and blood-draw experience preffered.
Comfortable performing hands-on clinical duties in a correctional healthcare environment.
Ability to follow facility security procedures and work professionally within a correctional setting.
Current BLS certification preferred.
Strong patient care, communication, and documentation skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organization.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

$32.00–$36.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
Candidates with strong recent phlebotomy and Epic experience are highly encouraged to apply.
