Dixon Correctional Institute is seeking a dedicated and highly organized Corrections ARDC Supervisor to lead and oversee all operational phases of the institution’s Pre-Classification and Classification processes. This position plays a vital role in ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely offender assessment and records management across a designated geographic region within the State of Louisiana.
The Supervisor will provide leadership and oversight for the Records Management Section, direct the statewide implementation and quality assurance of the IMPACT program, and manage all activities related to the Louisiana Parole Violator/Extradition program on a nationwide scale. This role requires strong analytical abilities, sound judgment, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of public safety, procedural integrity, and regulatory compliance.

One year of the required experience in the following minimum qualifications must have been in offender records analysis, offender classification, or offender pre-classification:
- Six years of experience in offender records analysis, offender classification, offender pre-classification, security, or social services or as a probation or parole officer; OR
- Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus three years of experience in social services, offender classification, offender records analysis, security, or as a probation or parole officer; OR
- A bachelor’s degree plus three years of experience in social services, offender classification, offender records analysis, security, or as a probation or parole officer; OR
- An advanced degree in a social science or social work or a juris doctorate plus two years of experience in social services, offender classification, offender records analysis, security, or as a probation or parole officer.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
- Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties:
- Oversee Records Management operations for assigned regions.
- Direct and monitor statewide implementation of the IMPACT program.
- Manage Louisiana Parole Violator and Extradition program activities nationwide.
- Ensure compliance with departmental policies, legal standards, and audit requirements.
- Provide training, guidance, and performance oversight to assigned staff.
- Coordinate with facility leadership and external agencies to support accurate offender processing.

Appointment Type: PROBATION, or PROMOTION OF A PERMANENT, CLASSIFIED LOUISIANA STATE EMPLOYEE
- Current permanent status classified LA State employees may be required to accept a probational appointment if accepted.
- An employee selected for a promotion may be required to serve a trial detail prior to being permanently promoted.
