Job summary

The Missouri Department of Corrections is recruiting for roles that involve coordinating offender program activities, scheduling groups, and guiding community-based projects aimed at supporting reintegration.

Qualifications

• Four or more years of correctional experience, or related social services experience.
• Earned credit hours from an accredited college may be substituted for the required experience at 30 credit hours per year.

Responsibilities

• Plans/coordinates new or revised facility activity programs with supervisors and facility heads.
• Monitors files with treatment teams to identify offenders eligible for activities and refers to appropriate community service or job sites.
• Schedules and supervises offender groups or workers outside the facility and coordinates visits by volunteers.
• Assists offender groups in selecting community projects and engages volunteer/professional groups to provide opportunities.
• Performs work per established rules and regulations and accepts general supervisory direction.
