The Department of Corrections (DOC), State Correctional Institution (SCI) at Mercer is seeking a Corrections Activities Manager 2 to oversee our activities department. As a Corrections Activities Manager, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, directing, scheduling, and coordinating a program of wellness and leisure time activities involving creative and performing arts, social recreation, crafts, athletics, and games of wide scope and variety for the inmate population. Work includes preparing requisitions for supplies and equipment, acting as chairperson for the Inmate General Welfare Fund, as well as coordinating and supervising inmate organizations. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to form working relationships that encourage inmate participation in activities and programs. You will also be responsible for evaluating subordinate staff performance and e xercise therapeutic care, custody, and control over inmates at all times.
