• High School diploma or equivalency certificate acceptable to the Maryland State Board of Education as described in the Correctional Training Commission regulation.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate transportation of incarcerated individuals to medical appointments statewide.
• Exercise care, custody and control over incarcerated individuals.
• Administer emergency medical assistance to inmates and staff.
• Perform physically demanding tasks such as running and restraint of individuals.
• Communicate effectively with inmates and staff in writing and verbally.
• Analyze situations and provide appropriate solutions.
• Advise inmates on institutional rules and assist their adjustment.
