State of Oklahoma seeks a Correctional Training Officer to design, deliver, and evaluate staff development programs within a correctional setting. You will conduct analyses to identify training needs, develop curricula, and lead classes at facilities or academies, ensuring compliance with security policies.

The role requires supervising other officers, coordinating training across regions, and managing vendor contracts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; substitution rules apply for correctional or security work.
• Level II requires bachelor’s plus one year of qualifying experience or a master’s in adult education or HR development.
• Preferred experience in a correctional or law enforcement environment.
• Some positions may require 80 hours of training as a certified instructor; valid driver's license.

Responsabilités

• Conducts job analyses and develops curriculum, including lesson plans and participant materials.
• Delivers classroom training, workshops or seminars to enhance employee skills.
• Prepares training reports and maintains participant records.
• Schedules and coordinates training sessions and locations.
• Provides supervision to other training officers and coordinates programs.
• Manages contracts with service providers.
