CoreCivic is seeking a Correctional Substance Use Counselor in El Paso, Texas. This ongoing staff position focuses on assessment, counseling, and treatment planning for inmates with substance use disorders.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work or related field, along with an LCDC Intern license and a valid driver’s license. Prior mental health or substance use counseling experience is preferred.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work or a closely related field is required.
• LCDC Intern license required.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Minimum age requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
• One year of experience in mental health or substance use counseling is preferred.

Mansioni

• Interviews and assesses prospective program participants and gathers data using screening instruments.
• Facilitates individual and group treatment interventions per state regulations and partner agencies.
• Promotes engagement in treatment and supports coping and recovery using therapeutic tools.
• Maintains confidentiality of clinical files and records per protocols and laws.
• Documents and tracks treatment plans and progress for inmates.
