Responsibilities

• Provides security and supervision to inmates across activities and posts.
• Supervises inmate work crews and secures equipment, weapons, and keys.
• Patrols yards and facilities, observes inmate movements, and manages conduct.
• Maintains order during meals and recreation and inspects living areas.
• Operates security equipment and controls inmate/public movement.
• Performs inmate counts and searches for contraband; enforces rules.
• Documents incidents and prepares status/movement reports.
• Participates in escape/apprehension teams and responds to riots/fires.
