Job Description

As a Correctional Security Guard - Full Time in Greenville, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government corrections location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a secure environment for staff and visitors. This driving post requires a valid driver's license. Deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-focused, and integrity-driven culture.

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to facility staff, visitors, and authorized personnel while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, housing-area exteriors, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points, verify authorization as directed, and report unauthorized activity or policy concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and emergency situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders.
• Document patrol activities, incidents, and observations accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or responding personnel.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
