Job summary

Washington State Department of Corrections seeks a Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care at Clallam Bay Corrections Center in Clallam Bay, WA. The position offers a 12-month in-training plan from RN1 to RN2, with shifting premiums and a schedule from Wednesday to Sunday mornings.

Evening and overnight shifts receive differential pay, and overtime may be required. Responsibilities include triage, medication administration, care planning, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Valid Washington State RN license (unencumbered).
• Multi-state license or compact licensure accepted with required trainings.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in correctional setting following state laws and policies.
• Coordinate with health care staff and custody to deliver timely care.
• Assess patients, initiate treatments, and document findings clearly.
• Monitor, interpret data, and update care plans as needed.
• Ensure safety and adherence to professional standards and confidentiality.
