NaphCare, Inc. in Santa Cruz, CA is seeking a full-time Night Shift Registered Nurse to join our team caring for individuals in the Santa Cruz County Jail.

You will work with correctional officers and medical staff to perform assessments, administer medications, and respond to emergencies in a secure environment. Qualifications

• Holds a current, unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse within the state of CA.
• Must possess an active BLS/CPR Certification (American Heart Association required).
• Knowledge of nursing practice principles, safety standards, infectious disease management, and healthcare regulations.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of all proprietary information; strong communication and organizational skills.
• Able to work independently and in a team; flexibility for overtime; pass background checks and drug screening.

Responsabilités

• Performing initial health screenings and physical assessments of newly detained individuals.
• Monitoring and documenting patient health including vital signs and histories.
• Providing direct patient care, triaging, developing care plans, and coordinating services.
• Managing acute and chronic conditions such as asthma, hypertension, and diabetes.
• Responding to medical emergencies and ensuring timely transport to facilities.
• Educating patients on preventative care and healthy lifestyle choices.
• Maintaining accurate medical records and adhering to correctional security protocols.
