CoreCivic is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a correctional nursing role in Oak Park, Illinois. This ongoing staff position offers hourly pay between $50.08 and $63.56, reflective of experience in a correctional setting.

The RN will work under institutional policies, participate in sick calls with physicians, and supervise nursing staff to ensure high-quality care for inmates/residents.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program with a nursing degree or diploma.
• Must possess current RN licensure in the state of employment (Illinois).
• One year of professional nursing experience preferred.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Minimum age requirement: 18 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to inmates/residents in an institutional setting.
• Attend sick calls with physicians and prepare examination lists and rooms.
• Examine and assess new inmates with illnesses or injuries and refer as needed.
• Perform emergency procedures and notify the Licensed Independent Provider for orders.
• Supervise and monitor nursing care by licensed and non-licensed staff.
