Wexford Health Sources, Inc. is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for Abingdon Regional Jail in Abingdon, VA. The schedule runs 5am-5:30pm, with a $5,000 sign-on bonus to welcome dedicated clinicians to our correctional healthcare team.

You'll assess physical and mental health needs, administer medications, and guide treatment plans, while educating patients and collaborating with correctional staff to maintain safety and high standards of care.

Qualifications

• Active unrestricted RN license in state of practice.
• Active CPR certification.
• Strong clinical and communication skills; adaptability in high-pressure settings.
• Compassionate, nonjudgmental approach to patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assess physical and mental health needs and develop care plans.
• Administer medications and monitor treatment progress.
• Educate patients and coordinate referrals with healthcare and custody staff.
• Maintain safety and high standards of care across the unit.
• Mentor staff and respond to crises as needed.
