Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited college, university or nursing program with a degree/diploma in nursing.
• Must possess current licensure in the state of employment.
• BLS from AHA.
• A valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide comprehensive nursing care, including executing orders, dispensing and administering medications, and aiding providers.
• Apply nursing and supervisory techniques in care and referrals of inmates/residents.
• Perform technical/clinical procedures within scope of education and licensure.
• Attend sick calls with physicians to examine inmates/residents; prepare examination lists and rooms.
• Monitor inmate/resident inpatient hospitalizations and supervise nursing staff.
• Maintain confidentiality of medical records and coordinate with contract providers.
