Job summary

NaphCare, Inc. is hiring Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our team for the Imperial County Jail in El Centro, CA. The role involves working in a correctional setting, performing screenings, taking vitals, administering medications, and responding to emergencies.

New grads are encouraged to apply and training is provided. Day and night shifts are available on FT hours. As a Correctional RN, you will work with correctional officers and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient

Qualifications

• Holds a current, unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse in CA.
• Active BLS/CPR certification (AHA required).
• Knowledge of nursing principles, infection control, and correctional healthcare policies.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Pass the facility's criminal background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial health screenings and physical assessments for detainees.
• Monitor and document patient health including vital signs and histories.
• Provide direct patient care, triage, assess needs, and coordinate services.
• Manage acute and chronic conditions (e.g., asthma, hypertension, diabetes).
• Respond to medical emergencies and ensure timely transport to facilities.
• Educate patients on preventive care and healthy lifestyle choices.
