Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Oregon Registered Nurse license at time of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care: assessment, nursing diagnosis, care planning, medication administration, lab/medical procedures, and treatment per ODOC policies.
• Coordination of care: schedule on-site and community-based services for optimal outcomes.
• Communication: provide patient education and act as resource for non-medical staff in correctional care.
• Documentation: maintain complete records of patient care and education delivered.
• Administrative: coordinate nursing activities with other departments and manage unit operations during absences.
