Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program with a nursing degree/diploma.
• Must possess current RN licensure in Mississippi.
• One year of professional nursing experience preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Minimum age 18 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to inmates/residents in a correctional setting.
• Attend sick calls with the physician and prepare examinations and equipment.
• Assess inmates/residents and refer to emergency or appropriate facilities as needed.
• Perform emergency procedures and communicate orders to providers.
• Supervise and monitor nursing staff and non-licensed medical staff.
