Job summary

CoreCivic is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a correctional nursing role in Tutwiler, Mississippi. This position focuses on delivering compassionate, compliant medical care to inmates in an institutional setting.

You will apply professional nursing skills, participate in sick calls, assess new admissions, respond to emergencies, and supervise licensed and non-licensed staff to ensure quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Must possess nursing license in Mississippi
• 1 year of professional nursing experience preferred
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Minimum age 18 years

Responsibilities

• Apply nursing skills in the area and treatment of inmates/residents.
• Attend sick calls with the physician and prepare the examination list.
• Examine and assess new inmates/residents and refer to emergency care as needed.
• Perform emergency procedures and notify the provider for treatment orders.
• Provide guidance and supervision of nursing staff and non-licensed medical staff
