Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and coordinate recreational activities for inmates in a large correctional institution.
• Consult with institutional staff in planning programs for residents.
• Gather information on offender skills, abilities, and interests to plan and implement activities.
• Supervise gymnasium sanitation, maintenance of recreation equipment, and inventory of supplies.
• Attend institution meetings and prepare reports.
• Maintain records on recreational equipment and direct leagues, tournaments, and holiday events.
