Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Psychology from an accredited university.
• Current, unrestricted license to practice psychology in the state.
• Two years clinical experience, including one year in a comparable position.
• Valid driver's license.
• Minimum age requirement: 18.

Responsibilities

• Conducts psychological screenings and assessments of inmates.
• Confers with psychiatrists, mental health staff, physicians and others to coordinate care.
• Develops, implements, and modifies individual treatment plans.
• Makes rounds in segregation or other housing areas to assess mental health needs.
• Applies counseling theory and techniques for inmates.
• Provides crisis counseling and interventions as needed.
• Consults with medical, nursing, and security staff to understand escalation factors.
