Job summary

Sora Resource Group in Kansas is seeking a licensed Psychologist to join a correctional facility team. You will conduct psychological assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide counseling within a multidisciplinary environment.

The role emphasizes onsite work, inmate mental health support, crisis intervention, and collaboration with medical and security staff. A valid state license and correctional experience are highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Licensed Psychologist with a valid state license.
• Proven experience in a clinical or correctional setting is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and counseling techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychological screenings and assessments through clinical interviews and examination of available records.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, mental health providers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care.
• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans based on ongoing evaluation of patient needs and functioning.
• Perform regular rounds to evaluate inmate adjustment and mental health requirements.
• Apply psychological counseling theories and techniques to provide effective treatments and interventions.
• Conduct mental health assessments and deliver crisis intervention strategies to support inmates in distress.
• Engage in consultations with staff across departments to gain insights into behavioral issues and mental health changes.
