Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Psychology from an accredited university.
• Current, unrestricted license to practice psychology in Minnesota.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience.
• At least 1 year in a comparable clinical position.
• Valid driver's license.
• Minimum age of 21 years.
• Strong psychological assessment and clinical interviewing skills.
• Experience developing and implementing individualized mental health treatment plans.
• Ability to provide crisis assessment and psychological intervention.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and work on-site in a correctional setting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychological screenings and clinical assessments using records, interviews, and other data.
• Evaluate psychological functioning and identify treatment needs.
• Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans.
• Provide psychological counseling and therapeutic interventions tailored to patient needs.
• Provide mental health assessment and crisis intervention services.
• Apply de-escalation approaches during crises.
• Conduct rounds in segregation or charged housing to assess mental health needs.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, physicians, nurses, social workers, security staff and others.
• Gather and communicate clinical information to support coordinated care.
• Assess changes in psychological condition and behavior.
• Apply established counseling theories and methods.
• Provide after-hours clinical guidance during emergencies.
• Maintain professional standards in an institutional setting.
