Responsibilities include comprehensive assessments, treatment planning, progress reporting, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Eligible in Psychiatry.
• Active TX medical license.
• CPR certification.
• Excellent skills in diagnostic assessment and counseling.
• Sound clinical judgment, professionalism, and independence.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• TX DEA registration required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments for inmates/residents.
• Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications with effective treatment plans.
• Create individualized treatment plans including medication management and psychotherapy.
• Prepare progress reports and discharge recommendations; assist with statistical reports.
• Maintain up-to-date medical records and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Provide crisis psychiatric care and manage emergencies to prevent incidents.
