Job summary

Health Advocates Network, Inc. seeks a Psychiatrist to deliver comprehensive psychiatric care in a Lancaster, CA correctional setting. You will perform evaluations, diagnose conditions, and develop individualized treatment plans while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

The position is a 1099 contract with local pay of $264/hour. Shifts are Thursday and Sunday from 7am to 5pm, with opportunities for professional development and ongoing CEUs.

Qualifications

• Psychiatrist with an active, unrestricted CA license.
• Board certified or board eligible in psychiatry.
• Basic Computer Skills.
• Professional credentials should be current as dictated by the State licensing standards and Professional Licensing Board.
• Copy of current, completed PSV from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements).

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations, assessments, and diagnostic interviews.
• Diagnose and treat mental health and behavioral health conditions.
• Develop and manage individualized treatment plans.
• Prescribe and monitor medications as clinically appropriate.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Provide psychotherapy or other appropriate psychiatric interventions.
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Follow applicable clinical, safety, ethical, and facility requirements.
