The Department of Corrections in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive psychiatric care in a correctional setting. You will diagnose, treat, and prescribe for patients with psychiatric disorders, medical conditions, or substance abuse issues, working within a multidisciplinary team.
Requires SD NP licensure, ANCC/ANA PMHNP certification, and DEA licensure. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and benefits.
Qualifikationen
- Must be licensed as a Certified Nurse Practitioner in South Dakota.
- Certified by ANCC or ANA as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
- Current and valid DEA licensure.
- Ability to provide direct patient care to offenders in a correctional setting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read and comprehend English; fluent in writing English.
Aufgaben
- Provide psychiatric services, assessments, treatment plans, and manage patient care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team and medical providers.
- Establish diagnoses, order studies, and monitor therapies.
- Prescribe and regulate medications as needed.
- Document health data accurately and timely.
- Communicate findings to patients and other providers.
- Maintain NP licensure and adherence to HIPAA.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
