VitalCore Health Strategies seeks a dedicated Physical Therapist to serve inmates at East Mississippi Correctional Facility in Meridian, MS. The PT will work under the Site Medical Director, evaluating patients and creating personalized rehabilitation plans.

The role emphasizes evidence-based therapy, collaboration with hospital staff, and adherence to licensure standards, with a comprehensive benefits package and competitive wages.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Current Mississippi Physical Therapist license
• CPR/BLS Certified
• Able to deal tactfully with staff, patients, and the public.
• Leadership and supervisory ability.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' physical conditions and develop treatment plans.
• Provide therapy evaluations and administer treatment.
• Utilize therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and functional training.
• Document observations and justify treatment needs.
• Coordinate with in-house staff before off-site referrals.
• Deliver disability, injury, and disease treatment per policy.
• Demonstrate proper technique per licensure and policy.
• Contribute to monthly quality care reviews and chart audits.
• Assist in arranging coverage during absences.
