Job description

Salary Range: $21.94 - $23.94 per hour

The Correctional Officer provides for the security, care, and direct supervision of inmates/residents in housing units, during meals, recreation, work assignments, and other activities within a correctional facility. This role may require the use of weapons or force to maintain discipline and order. Veterans are encouraged to apply.

  • You are responsible for maintaining order and security of inmates in a correctional facility.
  • You must be able to work any shift, as you may be assigned to various posts including but not limited to armory/key control, housing units, kitchen, medical, visitation, etc.
  • CoreCivic recognizes military service and considers it qualifying experience for this position.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Paid training provided; potential licensing as a non-commissioned security officer (cost covered by us).
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to complete all required training.
  • Availability to work any hours or shift.
  • At least 18 years of age.
