Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Be a citizen of the United States.
• Must have completed the basic recruit training course for correctional officers and have one year of experience as a certified officer.
• Must not have a suspension within the past 12 months.
• Must not have an involuntary demotion within the past 24 months.
• Must not have a rating below 3.00 in the past 3 fiscal years.

Responsibilities

• Supervises inmates and enforces rules and sanitation standards.
• Transports inmates using restraints and follows laws and procedures.
• Maintains custody during appointments outside secured areas.
• Directs correctional officers in housing units and main gate operations.
• Attends mandatory training and performs other related duties.
• Provides emergency response including CPR and first aid.
