Job summary

The role involves correctional facility security, inmate supervision, and adherence to state guidelines. Shifts are 12 hours with night/weekend differentials; a starting salary is offered with annual COLA adjustments.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Possess a valid Class D Minnesota Driver's License.
• Must be free of physical disabilities to perform duties.
• Good writing and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of first aid and CPR.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and enforce correctional facility security policies and procedures.
• Intake, booking and monitor incoming inmates and supervise releases.
• Supervise inmates in cells and living units; ensure security.
• Conduct cell searches; monitor and track inmates at all times.
• Maintain facility documentation and review documents before releases.
• Fingerprinting and photographing inmates; inventorying and releasing property.
• Brief incoming inmates on facility rules and regulations.
• Administer medications; provide first aid and arrange medical attention.
• Oversee laundry, clothing distribution, cleaning, and daily schedules.
• Ensure safety by locking facilities doors and inspecting mail for contraband.
