Under the direct supervision of the Assistant Jail Administrator, supports the mission of the Blue Earth County Sheriff's Office by providing quality services that promote and protect the safety, security, and well-being of the community. The Correctional Officer is responsible for the professional administration and enforcement of all federal, state, and local laws, as well as law enforcement services to the public. This role involves working in a 24/7 direct supervision facility, maintaining a secure jail, ensuring inmate safety, performing bookings and releases, organizing inmate activities, and handling medication, meals, financial transactions, public relations, and record keeping.
