This position supervises Correctional Officers and Sergeants at Wakulla Correctional Institution, serving as the initial commander during emergencies and acting as facility manager during non-administrative hours.
Key duties include planning and coordinating shift activities, delegating assignments, managing leave, conducting inspections, supervising searches, managing inmate housing and transport, performing crisis interventions, and ensuring security and safety standards.
Additional duties involve conducting performance evaluations, training staff, supervising searches and inmate activities, and responding to emergencies with appropriate force and procedures.
