Management & Training Corporation (MTC) is hiring for a full-time Security Officer at North Central Correctional Complex in Marion, Ohio. The position features a 12-hour shift (nights or days) with a bi-weekly 4 on/4 off and 3 on/3 off schedule, plus overtime.

The role pays $23.09 per hour with a $1.00 shift differential (6:00 pm–6:00 am). Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and prescription coverage, plus a 401(k) retirement plan, life insurance, and disability options.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Ohio driver’s license with acceptable driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety and security: search for contraband, monitor areas, and help keep the facility secure.
• Supervise daily routines: count, feed, and supervise inmates in housing, work, and other areas.
• Observe and respond: provide custody and security through ongoing observation and communication.
• Document accurately: prepare and maintain required records, forms, and reports.
• Disseminate information: read and apply information from inmate records and inform other personnel.
• Support facility operations: assist in commissary, property, transportation, recreation, mail, laundry, visitation, and more.
• Education: a high school diploma or GED is required.
• License: Ohio driver’s license with acceptable driving record is required.

• Support facility operations: Assist in areas such as commissary, property, transportation, recreation, mail room, laundry, visitation, booking, main control, housing, segregation, intake, administration, or food services as assigned.
• Education: A high school diploma or equivalent GED is required.
• License: A valid Ohio driver’s license with an acceptable driving record is required, unless waived by management.
