Job summary

Qualifications

• Degree in nursing.
• Must have current, valid nursing license for the state of Florida.
• Must possess current CPR certification.
• Must work within Florida state board of nursing scope of practice.

Responsibilities

• Attend sick calls with physicians and prepare examining room and equipment.
• Call the physician for medication orders and other emergencies.
• Administer medications and document treatment accurately and completely.
• Examine and assess inmates and refer to emergency care when needed; document in medical records.
• Maintain security and confidentiality of all medical records; observe HIPAA rules.
