Job summary

Advanced Correctional Healthcare, Inc. is seeking a registered nurse to provide direct nursing care in correctional facilities. You will assess patients, deliver orders, administer medications, and coordinate care with practitioners, while maintaining confidentiality and infection control standards.

The role requires an active nursing license, BLS certification, and strong documentation abilities. You may cover shifts at multiple facilities and support the site management team as needed.

Qualifications

• Active nursing license in the state where services are provided, in good standing.
• BLS certification with hands-on training.
• Excellent documentation skills.
• Knowledge of the RN scope of practice.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and deliver nursing care to patients in a timely, accurate manner.
• Contact practitioner to obtain orders and administer medications and treatments.
• Provide emergency first aid as needed.
• Record vital signs, glucose checks, weight, and other measurements on-site.
• Triage intake screenings for necessity and priority at sick call.
• Collaborate with multiple medical services for diagnosis and treatment as directed.
• Maintain aseptic techniques and infection control practices.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant patient confidentiality and documentation.
• May cover shifts at multiple correctional facilities and back up site manager.
