Job summary

TTUHSC Managed Care is seeking Correctional Medication Aides and Trainees for the Abilene Robertson and Middleton Units in Abilene, Texas. You will distribute medications, monitor patients, and provide compassionate care under licensed nursing supervision.

Positions may include a path to in-house certification training for those without current credentials. Rotation schedules apply, with day shifts and travel up to 25% as needed. We value integrity, compassion, and growth in a supportive team.

Qualifications

• EMR experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Previous correctional experience is preferred.
• Previous health care experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates with patients to deliver and administer medications as ordered and prescribed by providers.
• Follows compliance and departmental standards to ensure patients’ safety is prioritized.
• Ensures physical control of medications at all times within department standards.
• Documents activities in patients’ health records and medication administration systems clearly and timely.
• Support clinical activities under supervision of facility director and nurse management.
