Job summary

MEDIKO is seeking a Medical Assistant (MA-C) to support licensed providers in a correctional clinic in Washington State. You will perform clinical and administrative duties, including vital signs, minor procedures, injections, specimen collection, and accurate record-keeping.

Qualifications

• Current, valid state licensure to practice as Medical Assistant.
• Completion of an accredited WA MA program.
• Pass one approved national MA certification exam.
• High school diploma or GED required; higher degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs and prepare patients for clinical care.
• Assist examinations, procedures, specimen collection and EKGs.
• Administer injections under supervision and document in records.
• Maintain medical records and support inventory management.
• Collaborate with a correctional care team ensuring safety protocols.
