Job summary

MindCare Solutions is seeking Licensed Mental Health Providers (LCMHC, LPC, LMHP) for on-site correctional work in Hertford County, NC. You will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and deliver individual and group therapy to incarcerated individuals.

The role emphasizes crisis intervention, documentation, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team in a secure setting. Part-time or full-time schedules are available, dayshift.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted license as a Licensed Mental Health Provider (LCMHC, LPC, LMHP) in NC.
• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field.
• Minimum of 1–2 years of clinical experience (correctional, forensic, or inpatient preferred).
• Experience conducting assessments, diagnoses, and treatment planning.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for incarcerated individuals.
• Develop and update individualized treatment plans with the care team.
• Provide individual and group therapy using evidence-based interventions.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatments as needed.
• Perform crisis intervention including suicide risk assessments and safety planning.
• Maintain compliant clinical documentation per guidelines.
• Collaborate with medical staff and correctional officers for safe patient care.
• Participate in treatment team meetings and discharge planning.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and credentialing.

Position Summary:

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, including intake screenings, risk evaluations, and diagnostic evaluations for incarcerated individuals.
• Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Provide individual and group therapy services, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
• Monitor patient progress and response to treatment, adjusting interventions as clinically appropriate.
• Perform crisis intervention, including suicide risk assessments, safety planning, and emergency response.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation in accordance with facility, state, and federal guidelines.
• Collaborate with medical staff, correctional officers, and other stakeholders to ensure coordinated and safe patient care.
• Participate in treatment team meetings, case reviews, and discharge/reentry planning.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards, policies, and procedures, including those specific to correctional healthcare.
• Provide psychoeducation to patients regarding mental health conditions, coping strategies, and medication adherence (as applicable).
• Support continuity of care by coordinating with community providers upon release.
• Maintain professional boundaries and adhere to safety protocols within the correctional environment.

Qualifications:

• Active, unrestricted license as a Licensed Mental Health Provider (LCMHC, LPC, LMHP) in the NC .
• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
• Minimum of [1–2] years of clinical experience (correctional, forensic, or inpatient experience preferred).
• Experience conducting assessments, diagnoses, and treatment planning.
• Knowledge of crisis intervention and risk assessment, including suicide prevention.
• Strong documentation skills and familiarity with electronic health records (EHR).
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team in a secure environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to pass required background checks and meet all facility credentialing requirements.
