Under the direction of a Correctional Captain, Office of Internal Affairs (OIA), Allegation Investigation Unit (AIU), and the indirect supervision from the Regional Administrator, Chief, AIU, and OIA Deputy Director, the Correctional Lieutenant (Investigative Lieutenant) performs duties including developing inquiry plans, scheduling and conducting interviews, completing investigative reports, and tracking activities from assignment to final submission using manual and electronic logs and databases.
Individuals eligible for a Training and Development assignment may also be considered for this position.
The California Department of Corrections Rehabilitation (CDCR) has implemented a new automated system, the Human Resources Technology System (HRTS), to streamline the hiring process.
