Job summary

CBH Medical is seeking a Night Shift Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join Meherrin River Regional Jail’s correctional healthcare team. This full‑time role involves 12‑hour shifts providing direct patient care to incarcerated individuals in a secure setting.

You will perform ADLs, take vital signs, assist with procedures, administer medications, and maintain MAR documentation, while upholding infection control and safety protocols. VA LPN license required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved practical nursing program.
• Active LPN license in Virginia, or a multistate (NLC) license.
• Solid knowledge of nursing care principles and practices.
• Ability to recognize signs of mental illness, emotional distress, and substance use disorders.
• Proficiency in phlebotomy and administering PPD tests.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Ability to pass a background check.
