The annual salary listed for this position includes the additional $0.75 per hour medium security differential ($1,560 annually) for all full-time positions domiciled in a medium-security institution.

One or more years of experience in a production area, or in an area related to a correctional industries operation (e.g., upholstery, engraving, printing, laundry, furniture restoration, metal fabrication, chair manufacturing and assembly, or manufacturing of shoes, furniture, or chemical products) of the Missouri Department of Corrections; and possession of a high school diploma or proof of high school equivalency
Two or more years of any work experience; and possession of a high school diploma or proof of high school equivalency
By assignment, a position may require: Possession of, or the ability to obtain, a Missouri Class A Commercial Driver’s License at the time of appointment or within 6 months of being appointed or assigned to a position

The Department of Corrections currently offers a guaranteed 1% pay increase for every two years of continuous service up to 20 years! If you are transferring from another State of Missouri agency and are receiving state retention pay, please be advised that the Missouri Department of Corrections administers retention based upon your retention anniversary date. As a result, your retention pay upon transfer may differ from what you were receiving at your previous agency until you reach your applicable retention anniversary date.
