Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• License to practice in the State of New Jersey.
• CPR certification required.
• Valid driver’s license and own vehicle or alternate transportation between sites.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and indirect nursing care to inmates across age groups.
• Performs assessments at intake, sick call, housing or infirmary settings.
• Collaborates with healthcare professionals and security officers in a correctional environment.
• Identifies patient needs and implements prescribed interventions per policy.
• Plans nursing care and initiates referrals as needed.
• As charge nurse, delegates duties and guides other team members.
