UTMB Health is seeking a healthcare administrative professional to provide diversified administrative, clerical, and technical support within a correctional healthcare facility.

The role covers data entry, medical records processing, materials inventory, and delegated medical tasks under supervision, following UTMB CMC and state agency policies. Work requires attention to detail, adherence to security procedures, and ability to manage multiple tasks in a clinical setting.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent.
• Registered Medical Assistant or graduate of an approved Medical Assistant Program.
• BLS-HP certification required.

Responsabilités

• Administrative support tasks including filing, mail, faxing and typing correspondence.
• Retrieves and maintains a tracking system for all medical record charts and files records.
• Maintains inventory levels and stock records for materials and supplies.
• Performs medically delegated tasks under physicians and RN supervision.
• Assists with patient flow in outpatient clinic settings.
• Accurately collects excretory specimens and obtains blood samples by venipuncture.

Formation

High school or equivalent

Registered Medical Assistant or graduate of an approved Medical Assistant Program

BLS-HP certification
