Job summary

Ro Health is seeking an EMT to join our healthcare team at correctional facilities in Los Lunas, NM. The role provides essential medical care to inmates and supports facility safety and health programs.

The position requires a valid NM EMT certificate, ability to pass a background check, and TB testing. It is a contract, on-site role with evening shifts (6pm-6am), Fri-Sun, at facilities in Los Lunas, Las Cruces, or Tierra Amarilla.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid NM EMT certificate.
• Ability to pass a strict background check.
• TB test required.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic emergency medical care to inmates.
• Respond to medical emergencies (overdoses, assaults, cardiac events, withdrawals).
• Perform assessments, vital signs, and patient triage.
• Assist with intake medical screenings for new inmates.
• Administer first aid, CPR, AED, oxygen, and approved medications per protocol.
• Organize and maintain medication carts and ensure proper labeling and storage.
• Complete all required medication documentation with accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized medication area per facility standards.
• Ensure compliance with facility policies, safety protocols, and infection control standards.
• Supervise and support LVNs, CNAs, and other healthcare staff.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
