• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that meet diverse learning needs through differentiated instruction covering reading, math, language skills, science, and social studies for the purpose of attaining a high school equivalency diploma.
• Provide individualized academic guidance and motivational support to help students overcome barriers and achieve their educational and employment goals.
• Administer and analyze formative and summative assessments to determine instructional levels, support appropriate placement, and guide diploma attainment in accordance with state and TDOC guidelines.
• Establish and maintain a safe, orderly, and disciplined learning environment; enforce safety protocols in classrooms, shops, and work sites.
• Coordinate testing scheduling, enter student information and results into the Offender Management System, and collaborate with counselors and educational personnel.
