Job summary

Centurion Health seeks a full-time Dental Assistant to join the Autry State Prison team in Pelham, Georgia. The role supports dentists and hygienists in chairside dentistry within a correctional setting, handling instrument sterilization, operatory prep, radiography, and related admin duties.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of a dental assisting program (or six months' experience), GA license or eligibility, and CPR/TB screening; expanded duty certification

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a technical school program in dental assisting or six months experience as a dental assistant.
• Georgia DA license or ability to obtain license.
• Certification as an expanded duty dental assistant preferred; if the candidate does not possess a current certificate, one must be obtained in the first year of employment.
• Certification and/or previous experience performing dental x-rays preferred.
• Must maintain current tuberculosis screening documentation and active CPR certification.
• Ability to obtain security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist Dentist and/or Dental Hygienist in chairside dentistry in a correctional setting.
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments; maintain the dental operatory.
• Operate radiographic equipment.
• Complete administrative tasks as needed.
