Job summary

The North Carolina Department of Adult Correction is seeking a Correctional Case Manager (S) at Central Prison in Raleigh to provide case management for an assigned caseload of offenders. You will conduct regular reviews, make program referrals, and prepare required written reports.

Responsibilities include coordinating housing, communicating with staff and the public, and performing crisis interventions under stressful conditions. This is a full-time role with standard hours.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:1. Performing regular periodic classification reviews, needs assessments, plans, job assignments, program referrals and regular scheduled one-on-one contact for the purposes of correctional and/or motivational counseling.2. Providing transitional information, assisting with housing and recommendations for the classification upon offender review and assisting with onsite activities.3. Working under stressful conditions caused by direct contact with incarcerated offenders, who can become physically violent and verbally abusive, being capable of defending oneself against attack and performing crisis interventions to include suicide prevention.5.
