Job summary

Cell Staff is seeking licensed registered nurses (RN) for assignments at correctional facilities across California. This is a full-time contract position with flexibility in shifts, including 8- or 12-hour options, and some weekends may be required.

You will join the client’s medical facility as a valued member of the healthcare team. Responsibilities include health screenings, triaging and treating inmates’ medical needs, mental health assessments, medication administration, and emergency

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited educational institution.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state where the position is located and in good standing.
• 1+ year of relevant RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Performing health screenings and physical examinations.
• Triaging, assessing, and treating inmates’ medical needs during incarceration.
• Assessing and providing mental health care including patient assessments/evaluations.
• Administering medications, wound care, and other interventions as directed by medical staff.
• Serving as first responder in emergency and crisis situations.
• Performing other general nursing duties such as cardiac monitoring, catheter management, venipuncture, IVs, etc.

Education

Graduation from an accredited educational institution

RN license in good standing in the state of the position
